About the Artist

Hello there! My name is LunarWolfen! I was born and raised in Texas, and got my start in art in Kindergarten, which those not from the United States may recognize as a form of Pre-school. My first real experience attempting art outside of meaningless scribbles was my classroom teacher approaching me as she had noticed that I seemed to draw at a more advanced level than most kids my age. She asked me to help make drawings for a picture book for my class about gardening (weird start, I know, but bear with me! It was to explain how fruits and vegetables are made, since to a child, they just exist and that’s all we know).
From there I found myself drawing off and on traditionally throughout my childhood. I had to stop for a few years due to multiple changes in my circumstances once I had reached the age of 18 sadly, but a couple of years after I picked it up again. I’ve drawn traditionally for roughly 17 years off and on at this point!
Then I saw a video about art online. I’d seen speed paints and whatnot before, but with how chaotic my life has been, on top of having ADHD, I forgot that digital art was a thing. This video brought it back to the forefront of my mind. After that, I decided to get a tablet and try out Clip Studio Paint. I liked it well enough, but as I still wasn’t fully drawing consistently I couldn’t continue justifying the subscription for it on a tablet, and I don’t like drawing with a mouse. That was when I discovered Procreate.
I did a *lot* of research on Procreate, and you can imagine my disappointment when I found out it was exclusive to Apple devices. With that disappointing news in mind, I purchased an IPad and Procreate, and I’ve been in love with the program ever since! My artwork has been sporadic still, but in the year 2024 I discovered I enjoyed drawing for others. I haven’t had the experience that most artists had of already having been on sites like DeviantArt, but I tenatively shared my art online in Discord. My posts received positive feedback consistently and eventually I was approached for a commission. This kickstarted my joy in drawing for others, and I’ve been accepting commissions ever since. And here I am now, on December 30th, 2025, preparing to do my latest commission. It’s so hard to believe how far I’ve come, but I’m grateful for the journey!
